WILLIAMSON FUNERAL HOME is family-owned and operated right here in Niagara Falls, NY. Since establishing our business in 1960, we’ve treated every customer like they were a part of our family. Theodore "Ted" Williamson was born December 3, 1923 in Aiken, South Carolina to the late Joseph (1976), and Shallona (1991) Williamson, the oldest son of eight children.
Ted attended local schools including Niagara Street Elementary and was a graduate of Niagara Falls High School (1941). Ted enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and was honorably discharged in 1943.
In March of 1952 he married the former Gertrude "Trudy" (Cheatham) and together they enjoyed life until his death on June 24, 2010 in Buffalo, NY. He has six children. Douglas (Carolyn) Anderson, Tanya (Rourke) Moore, Lenore Jean Mulkey, Theodore D. (Jennifer) Williamson, Jr., Michael A. (Yolanda) Williamson, Sr., and Michelle Culver.
Theodore along with his father, Joseph, established the WILLIAMSON FUNERAL HOME on March 17,1960, which is presently located at 635 Main Street.
He was a life-member of the New Hope Baptist Church. Ted was an insurance consultant for the Metropolitan Life Insurance Company and also held many properties in the Niagara Falls area.
Mr. Williamson was a community and public servant through the Lions Club, NAACP, Niagara Community Center, Niagara Falls Transit Authority, National Conference for Community Justice and various other municipal and civic groups.

Michael A. Williamson, Sr. was born in Niagara Falls, NY on July 16, 1958. He is the son of the late Theodore, Sr. (201o), and Trudy Williamson (2012). He is married to the former Yolanda Martin and is the father of Michael Jr., Rachael and Chyron.
Michael attended Niagara Wheatfield High School, Syracuse University, and is a graduate of Simmons School of Mortuary Science.
Michael is past Chairman of the Board of United Way of Niagara, and currently serves on the Family and Children’s Board of Niagara. He also has a past appointment from the Governor which he served on the USA Niagara Board of Directors.
Mr. Williamson is a lifelong member of the New Hope Baptist Church of Niagara Falls, NY and serves as a Deacon and Trustee.
He is the owner and operator of the WILLIAMSON FUNERAL HOME in Niagara Falls, NY.
He enjoys serving in his community wherever needed and loves living in the beauty of the Western New York area.
